Get involved with Planned Parenthood events across the state. Don't see anything in your community? Make it happen yourself! We have limited staff and we can't be everywhere at once, so we rely on activists to take initiative in their own communities. Our organizers have event ideas, materials and lots of resources to help! Contact us at ppav@ppfa.org to get started.

CHARLOTTESVILLE: Community Outreach Training on Affordable Birth Control (refresher session for current volunteers 7-8pm)
6-8:30pm Thursday, May 15th at PP 2964 Hydraulic Rd, Charlottesville
Want to volunteer with Planned Parenthood this summer at fun events like the City Market, Fridays After Five, Pavilion concerts and the County Fair? This training is required! We’ll cover Planned Parenthood’s mission and services, our current campaign for Affordable Birth Control and some specifics on our summer volunteer opportunities. We’ll also outfit everyone with a pink t-shirt ($7 suggested donation, but free t-shirts are available if cost is an issue). Pizza and drinks will be provided. RSVP to Becky.Reid@Pphsinc.org.
CHARLOTTESVILLE: 80s Prom - A Totally Radical Benefit for Planned Parenthood
8pm-2am Saturday June 14th at Old Michie Building 609 E Market St, Charlottesville
Don't go dancing with yourself; get into the groove with others who've got the beat to support Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia (PPAV). On June 14th, we'll be partying like it's 1989 with the second annual 80s Prom. So get pretty in pink, jump into your little red corvette, and join us to have the time of your life! Featuring DJ Steve Richmond spinning 80s tunes. Tickets are $10 / $20 for entrance and PPAV membership. Must be 21+. To buy tickets or become a sponsor, visit www.ppav.org/80sprom.html.
