2011 Virginia Elections
As the advocacy and political arm of a trusted reproductive health care provider and educator to tens of thousands of women and young adults in Virginia, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia endorses candidates who support women's health care and reproductive rights.
At a time when more and more families in Virginia are uninsured and under financial strain, we need elected officials who will support quality health care for women, comprehensive sex education for our youth, and investing in prevention programs, including family planning services, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment and cancer screenings.
In order to continue to build our political strength and win policy battles in Virginia, we must work to elect truly pro-choice candidates to the Virginia General Assembly. This election could not be important to the health care and prevention services we provide.
