Dear Speaker Howell,
I am outraged that you used a technical procedure in an attempt to kill Medicaid expansion. Your actions will leave hundreds of thousands of hard-working Virginians without access to health care. Time and again, you have put politics above the very citizens you were elected to serve.
Basic health care is difficult to access in many parts of the state, whether due to distance or cost. The House of Delegates should be doing everything in their power to make health care more accessible, not less.
You have repeatedly pledged to find a way forward, but instead, you have blocked all attempts at compromise. This is not about politics, this is about people.
I stand with the women and families of the Commonwealth.
