Richmond Campaign Kick Off

We are excited to fight alongside steadfast women’s health advocate Ralph Northam as he emerged as the Democratic candidate for governor. Given the Trump-led Republican party’s focus on undermining women’s health, if Gillespie is ultimately elected governor, women stand to lose care ranging from abortion access to basic birth control and cancer screenings.

With a small margin in 2012 and a huge grassroots campaign, Virginia elected Terry McAuliffe, a pro-reproductive health and rights governor who has helped us roll back TRAP and vetoed every attack on PP and repro rights that come his way. We can't afford to go backward on the progress we've made in Virginia these past 4 years, especially with our federal political climate. We have from June 24th until November 7th to ensure a pro-reproductive rights and health governor is the person making decisions about our bodies. When Planned Parenthood opens our doors on November 8th, we want to do so in a Virginia that protects our ability to keep providing care, No Matter What. We need you to get involved with us for this fight and we need your help now!

We are launching our campaign kickoff in Richmond on June 24th at 11 am at our clinic on Hamilton Street. We will start off our day with a Pink Out Rally where we will hear from patients and leaders in our community and then hit the doors for a canvass to show VA that Planned Parenthood will not rest until Ralph Northam is sitting comfortably in the governor’s mansion next year.

Dress comfortably and bring a friend! We will have snacks and pink SWAG for you there.

See you on the 24th!
