Not the Virginia Way

On September 18, the General Assembly will convene in Richmond to discuss Medicaid Expansion. In what is believed to be the final meeting of the year, Speaker Howell needs to hear from us now more than ever.

Governor McAuliffe has attempted to find common ground with House leadership many times throughout this debate, only to have his efforts blocked at every turn. The Governor pledged from the beginning to do everything in his power to provide health care to all Virginians and this week, he fulfilled that promise to the Commonwealth. His plan will impact 200,000 Virginians.

Speaker Howell and House Republicans have made it clear they will not stop at nothing to deny health care access to those most in need. We must demand that Speaker Howell and House Republicans keep their promise to Virginia voters and close the coverage gap.

Tell Speaker Howell that denying health care to 400,000 people in need is not the Virginia way.
